Depending on your configuration and features used, the Application collects the following information for operational performance, bug troubleshooting, and service delivery:

• Productivity & Routine Data: Tasks, schedules, routine categories, completion durations, timestamps, and streak analytics saved in local storage (and optionally synced to Cloud Firestore when signed in).
• Microphone & Audio Data (RECORD_AUDIO): Spoken audio captured during voice dictation is processed strictly in real-time to convert your speech into calendar tasks and routine entries. Raw audio recordings are NEVER stored permanently on servers, never analyzed for advertising, and never sold to third parties.
• Account Credentials (Optional): When signing in with Google, we process your Google user ID, display name, and email address solely to authenticate and associate your cloud backup vault.
• In-App Purchases & Subscriptions: Google Play purchase order tokens and subscription entitlement status used to unlock Pro features. All payment details, credit card numbers, and banking data are processed exclusively and securely by Google Play Billing and are NEVER seen, handled, or stored by Taskie.
• Diagnostic Telemetry: Non-identifying crash diagnostics and performance reports provided via Google Play Services to maintain app stability.

Microphone & Voice Dictation Transparency

Taskie accesses your device microphone (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO) solely when you deliberately tap the microphone button or use the shake-to-voice gesture. The audio stream is converted into text in real time using Android native speech-to-text or secure Google AI processing. Taskie does not operate background audio listening, does not record ambient conversations, does not store raw audio files, and does not transmit voice recordings to any advertising network.

Exact Alarm & Background Scheduling Policy

To fulfill user expectations as a reliable daily companion, Taskie schedules exact reminder alarms using android.permission.SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM. This is strictly utilized for user-defined task alarms and 2-minute transition alerts so that critical tasks (such as medication or time-sensitive work meetings) ring precisely on time even when the device is in doze or standby mode.

Google Play Subscriptions & Billing Transparency

Taskie offers optional auto-renewing premium subscriptions (Taskie PRO) purchased exclusively through Google Play In-App Billing. Google handles all financial processing. Users can manage, change, or cancel subscriptions at any time via the Google Play Store (Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions). Cancellations take effect at the conclusion of the paid billing cycle. Deleting your account or uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription.

Account & Data Deletion Rights

You can delete your account and all stored routine data directly in the app via Settings > Account & Cloud Sync > Delete Account & All Data. You can also submit an external deletion request without reinstalling the app via our dedicated web portal at /apps/daily-companion/account-deletion or by emailing atish2k22@gmail.com. We erase all cloud documents and user records within 24–48 hours.

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA & Play Families Policy)

Daily Companion (Taskie) is rated Everyone and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

5. Data Security & Storage Standards

We value your trust in providing us your information, and we use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. Any communication between the application and external servers is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS (Transport Layer Security) 1.2 and 1.3 cryptography. Local application cache files are protected by Android Sandbox isolation.

6. Data Retention and Account / Data Deletion

In accordance with Google Play data safety policies, GDPR, and CCPA guidelines, you have the absolute right to request the deletion of any personal, account, or diagnostic data associated with your use of the Application.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this page periodically for any modifications.
